Family Dollar is seeking an Assistant Store Manager to support store operations, customer service, and team development. You will assist with daily store activities, organize merchandise, and help maintain clean, safe, and welcoming shopping environments.

Qualifications

• Requires a high school diploma or equivalent and ability to read and implement operating directives.
• Retail store management experience in groceries or general merchandise preferred.
• Strong communication, interpersonal, and written skills required.
• Ability to lift up to 55 lbs. and perform physical store duties.
• Demonstrated customer service excellence and teamwork capabilities.

Responsibilities

• Assist with store functions and day-to-day activities.
• Help customers with questions and concerns in a positive manner.
• Organize merchandise from delivery to stockroom and sales floor, maintain seasonal areas.
• Perform opening and closing procedures as needed.
• Process corporate directives and store communications.
• Maintain storefront displays and overall promotional effectiveness.
• Assist in ordering, damages processing, records (payroll, scheduling, cash handling), and loss prevention.
• Maintain clean, well-stocked sales floor and organized stockroom.
• Protect store assets including cash and security.
