Job summary

Dollar Tree is seeking an Assistant Store Manager to join our team to help with store operations, customer service and team development. You will assist with daily store activities and lead a team to deliver results.

You will supervise, train, and develop Store Associates, ensure a safe and welcoming environment for customers, and maintain store standards. This role requires strong communication and organizational skills and a commitment to excellent service.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent preferred.
• Store management experience in retail, grocery, or drug store preferred.
• Must be able to lift up to 55 lbs. and perform physical duties as needed.
• Strong communication, interpersonal, and written skills are required.
• Ability to work in a high-energy, team environment is required.
• Exceptional customer service, organizational, and communication skills are required.

Responsibilities

• Assist with store functions and day-to-day store activities
• Help customers in a positive, approachable manner and address questions or concerns
• Organize and transfer merchandise from delivery to stockroom to sales floor
• Perform opening and closing procedures as needed
• Maintain promotional effectiveness of store fixtures and displays
• Assist in ordering merchandise, processing damaged merchandise, record keeping, and loss prevention
• Maintain a well-stocked sales floor and organized stockroom to company standards
• Protect and secure all company assets, including store cash
• Adhere to safety policies and procedures and ensure staff compliance
• Help Store Manager supervise, train, and develop Store Associates
• Ensure a positive, safe, and respectful environment for customers and staff
• Maintain cleanliness of the store, restrooms, floors, and waste duties
• Other duties as assigned*
