Vans is seeking an Assistant Store Manager in Buena Park, CA to lead and develop a team of Brand Advocates, delivering a best-in-class customer experience aligned with our Off the Wall values.

You will partner with the Store Manager to drive profitability through engaging customers, merchandising, and operations; when the Store Manager is absent you’ll assume full store responsibilities while fostering an inclusive, high-performing retail environment.

Qualifications

• 2+ years of retail or store leadership experience.
• High School Diploma or equivalent preferred.
• Strong communication and people management skills.

Responsibilities

• Lead, develop, and motivate a team of Brand Advocates to deliver best-in-class customer experience.
• Partner with Store Manager to drive profitability through engagement, merchandising, and operations.
• In the Store Manager’s absence, assume full store responsibilities.
• Recruiting, hiring, and onboarding with high-caliber talent.
• Provide ongoing training and development to team members.
• Ensure compliance with all company policies, procedures, and standards.
• Manage expenses, shrink, and drive profitability.
• Maintain visual merchandising standards and product replenishment.
• Foster a culture of accountability, creativity, and continuous improvement.
