The ideal candidate has at least 2 years of supervisory retail experience, strong communication, and a passion for fashion.

About the Role

Our client, a popular fashion retailer, is looking for an enthusiastic and capable Assistant Store Manager to support the management team at their East London, Eastern Cape, ZA location. This role is integral to ensuring the smooth operation of the store, driving sales, and maintaining high standards of customer service and visual presentation. You will work closely with the Store Manager, overseeing daily activities, coaching staff, managing inventory, and ensuring a positive shopping experience for all customers. The ideal candidate will have prior retail leadership experience, strong communication skills, and a dedication to excellence in a hands-on retail setting. This is an on-site position, vital for upholding the brand's presence in East London, Eastern Cape, ZA.

Key Responsibilities

• Assist the Store Manager in all aspects of store operations, including sales, customer service, visual merchandising, and inventory management.
• Supervise and coach store staff, providing guidance and support to ensure performance targets are met.
• Drive store sales performance by implementing sales strategies and ensuring excellent customer engagement.
• Maintain visual merchandising standards and ensure the store is well-presented and appealing.
• Manage inventory levels, including receiving, stocktaking, and stock replenishment.
• Process customer transactions accurately and efficiently using the POS system.
• Handle customer inquiries, issues, and complaints with professionalism and a focus on resolution.
• Contribute to opening and closing procedures, and manage the store in the absence of the Store Manager.
