Position: Assistant Store Manager

As an Assistant Store Manager, you will be responsible for providing exceptional service to our customers. Your responsibilities include assisting the Store Manager in daily store operations, maintaining inventories, store appearance, and completing daily paperwork.

Principal Duties & Responsibilities:

• Greets and assists customers in a positive, approachable manner. Answers questions and resolves customer inquiries and concerns.
• Maintains a presence in the store by providing excellent customer service.
• Ensures a clean, well-stocked store for customers.
• Supervises, trains, and develops Store Associates on Family Dollar operating practices and procedures under the Store Manager's guidance.
• Assists in unloading merchandise, organizing, and transferring merchandise from stockroom to store.
• Helps in ordering merchandise and record-keeping, including payroll, scheduling, and cash handling.
• Supports loss prevention efforts.
• Assumes management responsibilities in the absence of the Store Manager.
• Follows all company policies and procedures.

Position Requirements:

• High school diploma or equivalent preferred. Ability to interpret operational directives.
• Retail management experience preferred.
• Physical ability to lift up to 40 lbs regularly and up to 55 lbs occasionally, along with standing, walking, stooping, kneeling, climbing, pushing, and pulling.
• Availability for flexible, full-time schedule including days, evenings, weekends, and holidays.
• Skills: Customer focus, developing potential, results-driven, organizational, communication, problem-solving, and relationship management.
