Description

ASSISTANT STORE MANAGER – Full-Time

We are looking for full-time Assistant Store Managers who are enthusiastic, energetic, friendly, and hard-working!

The Assistant Store Manager is responsible for providing exemplary selling and customer service that is designed to improve the productivity and profitability of the store. They provide product recommendations and solutions by working proactively with customers and serve as a role model of best practice retail execution. The focus is on sales, service, and relationship-building. They share product knowledge, read and incorporate store communications, and manage daily tasks as assigned by the Store Manager, including opening and/or closing the store.

Responsibilities also include inventory management, conducting product sets, stocking, housekeeping, and assisting with stockroom duties. They work closely with the corporate store team and report directly to the Store Manager.

Essential Job Functions
  • Create and maintain a welcoming shopping environment.
  • Build and share expertise on products, promotions, and rewards programs tailored to customer needs.
  • Support store management and team.
  • Assist customers in finding suitable card and gift solutions.
  • Share stories and promote community engagement.
  • Handle store operations including product replenishment, merchandising, ringing sales, managing shipments, and fulfilling orders.
  • Deliver an inspiring shopping experience that encourages return visits.
  • Work with the team to meet sales goals.
  • Uphold all company policies and practices.
  • Perform other duties or projects as assigned.
Requirements

Required Qualifications

  • At least 1 year of retail, sales, or customer service experience.
  • Must be 18 or older.
  • Ability to open and close the store at least three times a week and work two weekend shifts per month.
  • Flexible schedule including evenings, holidays, and weekends.
  • Proof of legal work eligibility in the U.S.

Preferred Qualifications

  • High school diploma or equivalent.
  • Two or more years in retail, sales, or customer service.
Knowledge, Skills, & Abilities
  • Strong customer engagement and consultative selling skills.
  • Effective communication with customers and staff.
  • Adaptability, feedback receptiveness, and proficiency with technology.
  • Ability to train new employees and understand store policies and operations.
Working Conditions & Physical Demands
  • Ability to stand, walk, push, pull, lift, and perform fine motor tasks.
  • Lift and carry up to 50 pounds occasionally.
  • Work may involve exposure to dust, cleaning agents, and work at heights.
  • Continuous communication with customers and team members.
Employment Status

This is a full-time, hourly, non-exempt position typically working 40 hours per week.
