Job summary

7-Eleven is hiring a Retail Assistant Manager to support the Store Leader with leadership, coaching, and daily operations. You will drive customer service excellence, oversee staff development, and help implement merchandising and marketing programs.

The role requires strong communication, cash handling, and adherence to health and safety standards, with education preferred as a high school diploma or GED and prior retail management experience.

Qualifications

• Oversee and provide customer service leadership, training, and coaching for store employees.
• Demonstrated strength maintaining high retention by developing leaders, empowering employees, and encouraging productivity.
• Assist in implementing all merchandising and marketing programs.
• Competency in cash handling, fuel transactions, and promoting our loyalty program.
• Maintain a clean, safe environment by complying with health and sanitation procedures.
• Excellent oral and written communication and intrapersonal skills.
• Valid Driver’s License from the state of residence.
• High School diploma or GED preferred, but not required if candidate has at least one year of Retail Management experience.
• Ability to multi-task, perform repeated bending, standing, reaching, and lifting up to 50 pounds.

Responsibilities

• Oversee and coach store employees alongside the Store Leader to ensure service excellence.
• Lead efforts to hire, develop, and retain qualified staff.
• Assist in implementing merchandising and marketing programs.
• Drive cash handling accuracy and promote the loyalty program.
• Maintain health and sanitation standards to keep the store clean and in-stock.
• Partner with leadership to achieve store targets and improve results.
