Job summary

The Kroger Co. is seeking a Store Manager/Department Lead in Parker, CO to assist in managing all store operations and departments. You will help supervise and coach associates, implement merchandising plans, and ensure excellent customer service while meeting sales and budget targets.

You will collaborate with department heads and leadership to drive performance, manage staffing, and maintain compliance with policies. This role emphasizes leadership development and community engagement.

Responsibilities

• Assist store manager and associates in creating a favorable customer shopping experience and develop associate interest in customer service and relation.
• Assist Store Manager in guiding teams to implement merchandising and operating initiatives.
• Support action planning and communication to associates based on survey results.
• Collaborate with department heads to identify opportunities and create timely solutions.
• Model exemplary customer service and address associate/customer issues.
• Support total store operations in the store manager's absence.
• Contribute to achieving sales, wage budgets and profit budgets, and safety/shrink targets.
• Drive sales with department managers to maximize store profitability and reduce shrink.
• Participate in store-level financial discussions and budgeting activities.
• Engage with union representatives where applicable and maintain strong community relationships.
• Communicate essential information to staff and act as liaison to district managers for program execution.
• Assist with staffing, turnover reduction and retention of personnel.
• Provide timely performance feedback and assist with labor management and cost control.
• Ensure compliance with federal, state, and local laws and enterprise policies.
