Job summary

Foot Locker is seeking an Assistant Store Manager (ASM) to lead store operations in Texas. You will drive sales, coach staff, and ensure excellent customer experiences daily. The role emphasizes energetic leadership, ownership, and accountability in a fast-paced retail environment.

As an ASM, you will serve as Manager on Duty, support hiring and training, and use retail tech to optimize performance and guest satisfaction. A strong team player with flexible hours will thrive here.

Qualifications

• 1+ years of retail experience, preferably in a leadership or key holding role.
• Ability to coach, motivate, and engage a diverse team.
• Strong communication and teamwork skills.
• Ability to work flexible hours including evenings, weekends, and holidays.
• Reliable, self motivated, and ready to take ownership.
• Basic understanding of retail KPIs and operational processes.

Responsibilities

• Lead by example on the sales floor with energy, confidence and solutions.
• Coach the team to deliver great service and expand product knowledge.
• Support sales goals by staying engaged on the floor and closing the loop with customers.
• Help manage daily store operations including opening/closing, cash handling, and floor coverage.
• Keep the store organized, customer ready, and running smoothly.
• Follow safety, loss prevention and SOPs to protect customers and products.
• Take ownership of issues, standards, and store execution.
• Leverage retail tech to enhance customer experience and support ops.
• Serve as Manager on Duty when scheduled with clear direction.
• Support hiring, onboarding and training of store associates.
• Coach teammates in real time and close performance gaps.
• Jump in wherever needed to support the team and priorities.
