Job summary

Family Dollar is seeking an Assistant Store Manager to support store operations, customer service, and team development. You will help with daily store activities, organize merchandise, and ensure a clean, well-stocked environment.

The role requires strong communication, leadership, and the ability to work in a fast-paced retail setting. This is a part-time position with responsibilities across merchandising, sales floor upkeep, and customer support.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent preferred; ability to read and interpret directives is required.
• Store management experience in retail, grocery, or drug store environment is preferred.
• Must be able to lift up to 55 lbs and perform standing, walking, climbing, and repetitive lifting.
• Strong communication, interpersonal, and written skills are required.
• Ability to work in a high-energy, team environment is required.
• Exceptional customer service and organizational skills are required.

Responsibilities

• Assist with store functions and day-to-day activities.
• Help customers in a positive, approachable manner and address questions or concerns.
• Organize and transfer merchandise from delivery to stockroom and sales floor.
• Perform opening and closing procedures as needed.
• Process corporate directives and communications related to store activities.
• Maintain promotional fixtures and displays.
