Job summary

Meijer is expanding its footprint in the Detroit Metro Area and seeks a capable Assistant Store Director for the North Detroit Market. You will plan, direct, and supervise store operations, driving customer service, profitability, and team development across multiple Michigan locations.

Ideal candidates have 5+ years in retail/grocery leadership, a Bachelor’s degree or equivalent, and a track record of delivering results.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience.
• Minimum 5+ years of retail/grocery/operations management.
• 4+ years of progressive leadership experience.
• Solid merchandising knowledge and store operations awareness.

Responsibilities

• Lead day-to-day store operations and performance.
• Direct staffing, training, and leadership development across the team.
• Drive exceptional customer service and local market profitability.
• Implement planograms, seasonal resets, and compelling product displays.
• Foster a culture of care, accountability, and teamwork.
