Job summary

Think Together is seeking an Assistant Site Coordinator in Bellflower, CA, to support the Expanded Learning program under the Site Coordinator. This full-time role pays $22.00 per hour and requires experience with youth and supervisory responsibilities.

You will lead operations, supervise staff, plan activities, and maintain strong relationships with school personnel and families. The position emphasizes safety, compliance with grant requirements, and professional development for staff.

Qualifications

• Six months experience working with youth.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
• Experience in a supervisory role preferred, preferably in an afterschool program or school setting.

Responsibilities

• Lead and/or assist in day-to-day operations of the expanded learning program.
• Support supervision of program staff (Afterschool Youth Leaders, Athletic and/or Enrichment Instructors).
• Lead and/or assist with conducting interviews, making hiring recommendations, taking disciplinary action, and evaluating staff.
• Assist with providing training, guidance, and ongoing support to all program staff.
• Serve as a role model by demonstrating professionalism.
• Lead and/or assist in creating and organizing program schedule to include academic, recreation, and enrichment activities.
• Plan, organize and participate in expanded learning program events and field trips.
• Establish and maintain positive relationships with school personnel, ThinkTogether staff, students and families.
• Recruit students to ensure attendance outcomes are met on an annual basis per grant requirements.
• Assist with student to staff ratio when necessary, facilitate classes and clubs as needed in absence of regularly assigned staff.
• Monitor and enforce policies to provide a safe, respectful learning environment.
• Invest in staff development by assisting the Site Coordinator in coaching conversations.
• Attend trainings and travel to off-site meetings.
• Maintain accurate records (attendance, enrollment & consent forms, staff sign-in sheets).
• Disseminate agency information to staff in a timely manner.
