Job summary

Take 5 Oil Change is seeking an Assistant Shop Manager to help lead a fast-paced automotive service team on the shop floor. You will support daily operations, team development, and a friendly customer experience.

The role includes stepping in as Manager on Duty to maintain safety and efficiency while upholding Take 5 standards. Automotive experience is valued but not required; training is provided to teach the Take 5 service standards.

Qualifications

• Minimum 6 months’ customer service experience in a fast-paced service environment.
• Minimum 6 months’ experience leading, coaching, or mentoring others in a fast-paced environment.
• Commitment to following and maintaining safety policies and practices.
• Strong communication skills and ability to give direction and feedback.
• Ability to stay calm, organized, and solutions-focused during busy periods.

Responsibilities

• Complete opening and closing procedures.
• Assist with daily inventory counts and adjustments.
• Support shop communication, reporting, and operational follow-up.
• Serve as Manager on Duty when needed by coordinating workflow and helping the team deliver safe, efficient, high-quality service.
• Model fast, friendly customer service and address customer needs professionally.
• Train new team members and provide real-time coaching and feedback.
