Job summary

Take 5 Oil Change is seeking an Assistant Shop Manager to help lead a fast-paced team and deliver a high-quality customer experience. You will support daily operations, staff development, and act as Manager on Duty as needed.

Automotive experience is valued but not required, with paid training to learn the Take 5 standards. You will contribute to a safe, efficient shop, training new teammates and upholding safety practices while fostering a friendly service culture.

Qualifications

• Minimum 6 months’ customer service experience in a fast-paced service environment delivering consistent and exceptional service.
• Minimum 6 months’ experience leading, coaching, or mentoring others in a fast-paced environment.
• A commitment to following and maintaining facility and safety control policies and practices.
• The ability to meet applicable age and certification requirements, including Inspector Certification when required.
• Reliable transportation to and from your work location.

Responsibilities

• Support the Shop Manager with daily operations, team development and service standards.
• Lead, coach, and mentor team members on the shop floor.
• Serve as Manager on Duty when needed and coordinate workflow.
• Model fast, friendly customer service and resolve customer concerns professionally.
• Train new team members and provide real-time coaching and feedback.
• Complete opening and closing procedures and assist with inventory counts.
