Job summary

Take 5 Oil Change is seeking an Assistant Shop Manager to lead a fast-paced team on the shop floor. You will support the Shop Manager with daily operations, team development, and delivering a fast, friendly customer experience.

You’ll step in as Manager on Duty when needed, helping keep the shop safe, efficient, and running smoothly. We provide paid, hands-on training to teach the technical skills and service standards needed to succeed in the Take 5 way.

Qualifications

• Minimum 6 months’ customer service experience in a fast-paced service environment.
• Minimum 6 months’ experience leading, coaching, or mentoring others.
• Commitment to following facility and safety policies and practices.
• Strong communication skills with ability to coach and provide feedback to team.
• Initiative, accountability and follow-through on responsibilities.
• Ability to stay calm, organized and solutions-focused during busy periods.
• Ability to meet age and certification requirements, including Inspector Certification when required.
• Reliable transportation to and from work location.

Responsibilities

• Support Shop Manager with daily operations.
• Coordinate workflow and help lead the team on the shop floor.
• Model fast, friendly customer service and address customer needs.
• Ensure services are completed accurately and in line with procedures and safety standards.
• Assist with inventory counts and shop communications.
• Perform opening and closing procedures.
• Train new team members and provide real-time coaching and feedback.
• Fulfill Certified Technician and Lead Technician responsibilities as needed.
