Take 5 Oil Change in Houston, TX is seeking an Assistant Shop Manager. You’ll support the Shop Manager with daily operations, team development, and a fast, friendly customer experience, stepping in as Manager on Duty when needed.

Automotive experience is valued but not required. We offer paid hands‑on training, a clear growth path from technician to leadership, and opportunities to advance based on performance.

Qualifications

• Minimum 6 months’ customer service experience in a fast-paced service environment.
• Minimum 6 months’ experience leading, coaching, or mentoring others in a fast-paced environment.
• Commitment to following facility and safety policies and practices.
• Strong communication skills with the ability to direct, coach and give feedback.
• Proactive, accountable and solutions-focused under busy periods.

Responsibilities

• Support Shop Manager with daily operations and team development.
• Step in as Manager on Duty when needed and ensure safe, efficient service.
• Model fast, friendly customer service and handle customer concerns professionally.
• Ensure services are completed accurately while reinforcing procedures and safety standards.
• Train new team members and provide real-time coaching and feedback.
