Take 5 Oil Change in Houston, TX is hiring an Assistant Shop Manager to lead a fast-paced team on the shop floor. You will support the Shop Manager with daily operations, team development, and delivering a quick, friendly customer experience.

We provide paid, hands-on training and value automotive experience. This role steps in as Manager on Duty and offers opportunities for growth into leadership positions with a strong performance record.

Qualifications

• Minimum 6 months customer service experience in a fast-paced service environment.
• Minimum 6 months’ experience leading, coaching, or mentoring others.
• Commitment to following safety policies and practices.
• Strong communication and ability to coach and provide feedback.
• Reliability and transportation to work location.

Responsibilities

• Complete our Certified Technician training.
• Serve as Manager on Duty, coordinate workflow and lead safety and efficiency.
• Model fast, friendly customer service and resolve customer concerns.
• Ensure services are completed accurately and per standards.
• Train new team members and provide real-time coaching and feedback.
• Perform opening and closing procedures.
• Assist with daily inventory counts and adjustments.
• Support shop communication, reporting, and operational follow-up.
