Take 5 Oil Change is hiring an Assistant Shop Manager to support daily shop operations, lead a fast-paced team, and deliver friendly customer experiences. You may step in as Manager on Duty, help with training, and ensure safety and high-quality service.

Automotive experience is valued but not required, with paid training provided. Join a company with 35+ years of oil-change expertise and a clear career path from Pit Tech to President.

Qualifications

• Minimum 6 months’ customer service experience in a fast-paced service environment.
• Minimum 6 months’ experience leading, coaching, or mentoring others.
• Commitment to following safety policies and practices.
• Strong communication skills for directing and coaching team members.
• Accountability and initiative in busy shop conditions.
• Ability to meet age and certification requirements when needed.

Responsibilities

• Support Shop Manager with daily operations and team development.
• Step in as Manager on Duty to coordinate workflow and safety.
• Model fast, friendly customer service and respond to customer needs.
• Ensure services are completed accurately while reinforcing procedures.
• Identify improvement opportunities and take on leadership tasks when the Manager is unavailable.
• Train new team members and provide coaching and feedback.
• Perform Certified Technician and Lead Technician responsibilities.
• Complete opening and closing procedures.
• Assist with daily inventory counts and adjustments.
• Support shop communication, reporting, and follow-up.
