Job summary

Take 5 Oil Change is seeking an Assistant Shop Manager to help lead a fast-paced team on the shop floor. You’ll support the Shop Manager in daily operations, coach teammates, and ensure a safe, efficient guest experience.

You may serve as Manager on Duty, drive service standards, and train new team members while maintaining safety and policy adherence. Automotive experience is valued but not required; paid hands-on training is provided to teach Take 5 procedures and service excellence.

Qualifications

• Minimum 6 months’ customer service experience in a fast-paced service environment.
• Minimum 6 months’ experience leading, coaching, or mentoring others in a fast-paced environment.
• Commitment to following and maintaining facility and safety policies.
• Strong communication and feedback skills for coaching team members.
• Ability to stay organized and solutions-focused during busy periods.

Responsibilities

• Support Shop Manager with daily operations, team development, and customer experience.
• Step in as Manager on Duty when needed, coordinating workflow and safety.
• Provide real-time coaching, training, and recognition for strong performance.
• Assist with opening/closing procedures and inventory counts.
• Communicate effectively to ensure high-quality service and adherence to standards.
