Job summary

Take 5 Oil Change is seeking an Assistant Shop Manager in Ohio. You will support daily operations, lead a fast-paced team, and step in as Manager on Duty when needed to ensure safety, efficiency, and a high-quality customer experience.

Paid hands-on training is provided, automotive experience is valued but not required, and opportunities exist to grow from shop roles into leadership positions based on performance.

Qualifications

• Minimum 6 months’ customer service experience in a fast-paced service environment.
• Minimum 6 months’ experience leading, coaching, or mentoring others.
• Commitment to following safety policies and procedures.
• Strong communication and ability to provide direction and feedback.
• Ability to stay organized and solutions-focused during busy periods.
• Reliable transportation to the work location.

Responsibilities

• Support the Shop Manager with daily operations and team development.
• Act as Manager on Duty when needed and help keep the shop safe and efficient.
• Lead by example with fast, friendly customer service and service standards.
• Train new team members and provide real-time coaching and feedback.
• Assist with inventory counts, reporting, and operational follow-up.
• Perform Certified Technician and Lead Technician responsibilities when required.
