Job summary

Take 5 Oil Change is seeking an Assistant Shop Manager to help lead a fast-paced service team. You’ll support daily operations, develop staff, and ensure a safe, efficient customer experience.

Automotive experience is valued but not required, and paid training is provided to learn our standards and processes. You will step in as Manager on Duty, coordinate workflow, and help keep the shop running smoothly while delivering high-quality service.

Qualifications

• Minimum 6 months’ customer service experience in a fast-paced service environment.
• Experience leading, coaching, or mentoring others in a fast-paced environment.
• Commitment to following facility and safety policies and practices.
• Strong communication skills with the team.
• Demonstrated initiative and accountability.
• Ability to stay organized and solutions-focused during busy periods.

Responsibilities

• Provide leadership on the shop floor as Manager on Duty when needed.
• Model fast, friendly customer service and address needs professionally.
• Ensure services are completed accurately while following procedures and safety rules.
• Help identify improvement opportunities and take on extra leadership duties.
• Train new team members and deliver real-time coaching.
• Assist with opening/closing procedures and daily inventory counts.
