Job summary

Take 5 Oil Change in Columbus, OH is seeking an Assistant Shop Manager to support the Shop Manager with daily operations, team development, and a fast, friendly customer experience. You’ll step in as Manager on Duty when needed, helping the team stay focused while keeping the shop safe, efficient, and running smoothly.

We provide paid hands-on training to teach the technical skills and service standards. Automotive experience is valued but not required, with growth opportunities internally

Qualifications

• Minimum 6 months’ customer service experience in a fast-paced service environment delivering consistent and exceptional customer service experience for every customer.
• Minimum 6 months’ experience leading, coaching, or mentoring others in a fast-paced environment.
• A commitment to following and maintaining facility and safety control policies and practices.
• Strong communication skills and comfort providing direction, coaching, and feedback to team members.

Responsibilities

• Complete opening and closing procedures.
• Assist with daily inventory counts and adjustments.
• Support shop communication, reporting, and operational follow-up.
• Serve as Manager on Duty when needed by coordinating workflow and helping the team deliver safe, efficient service.
