Job summary

Murphy-Hoffman Company (MHC Kenworth-Des Moines) is seeking an Assistant Service Manager to support the Service Manager in day-to-day operations at the Des Moines branch. You will help plan, organize, and control activities to drive growth and profitability while maintaining high customer service standards.

You will supervise Foremen, monitor repair orders, and coordinate warranty processing to benefit customers and the dealership.

Qualifications

• Minimum of two years' experience in service department management.
• Strong leadership and customer-service orientation.
• Willingness to relocate for the role.

Responsibilities

• Assist the Service Manager in planning, organizing, and controlling Service Department activities.
• Provide daily supervision of Foremen and coordinate repair work.
• Coordinate warranty claims with Warranty Manager and optimize warranty adjustments.
• Review department results and communicate with other departments to meet objectives.
• Address customer concerns to ensure satisfaction before vehicles leave the shop.
