Lithia Motors is seeking an Assistant Service Manager in Chesapeake, VA to support the Service Manager and lead service staff to achieve high customer satisfaction and performance targets.

You will mentor Service Advisors and technicians, ensure warranty and contract administration is up-to-date, and maintain compliance with manufacturer policies. A strong leadership track record is essential.

Qualifications

• Previous automotive dealership service department experience.
• Excellent teaching, presentation and time management skills.
• Knowledge of basic accounting principles & computer use.
• Acceptable driving record and valid driver's license in your state of residence.

Responsibilities

• Assist the Service Manager in directing the activities of all service staff to meet performance targets.
• Hire, train and develop Service Department personnel to build a winning team.
• Serve as liaison between the store and Support Services Fixed Operations and ensure policy compliance.
• Train, develop & mentor Service Advisors & technicians.
• Inspect repair orders daily for legibility, accuracy and legality.
• Manage warranty, receivables and service contracts administration and follow-up.
