Job summary

Hair Cuttery Family of Brands is seeking an Assistant Salon Manager in New Jersey. You’ll act as the right hand to the Salon Leader, supervising daily operations, mentoring stylists, and ensuring a high-energy, guest-centric environment behind the chair.

You’ll balance leadership duties with hands-on styl­ing, staying compliant with regulations while driving performance and growth. This role requires a cosmetology license, full-time availability, and the stamina to lead a vibrant salon team.

Qualifications

• Must have a current Cosmetology license for the state where you’re applying.
• This is a full-time leadership role (minimum 40 hours per week).
• Must have the stamina to stand for long periods and the dexterity to perform all salon services with precision.
• Great attitude, basic math skills for inventory/cash, and stellar communication are essential.

Responsibilities

• Lead the floor and manage daily operations, including the appointment book in Zenoti.
• Coach and mentor team members, using the IGROW model to help them achieve goals.
• Maintain safety and compliance with State Board and OSHA standards.
• Support marketing efforts with local partnerships and digital campaigns to keep clients coming back.
