Sun Tan City in Altoona, IA is seeking a motivated leader to join our management team as Assistant Salon Director. This role drives store performance, delivers client-centric service, and supervises Tanning Consultants to meet productivity goals in a fast-paced environment.

Ideal candidates have retail management or leadership experience, strong customer-service skills, and a passion for team development. This position offers opportunities for advancement and a comprehensive benefits package

Qualifications

• College education preferred, but not required.
• Management and/or Sales experience preferred, but not required.
• Basic Computer skills (Word, Excel, Outlook).
• Ability to manage effectively in a fast-paced environment.
• Knowledge of client service techniques and operational practices.
• Problem-solving and organizational skills.
• Strong leadership with coaching and mentoring abilities.
• Team building skills.
• Ability to prioritize and delegate.

Responsibilities

• Monitor and manage daily operations of the salon in a fast-paced environment.
• Lead by example in all company operations including client-centric experience and sales goals.
• Maintain a professional and impeccably clean salon environment.
• Establish clear goals and objectives for Team Members.
• Provide coaching, training, and feedback to improve performance.
• Generate sales reports, maintain inventory, and assist with Salon Director functions.
• Assist the Salon Director in controlling revenue and expenses.
• Maintain staffing levels to ensure productivity and customer service while controlling labor costs.
• Work nights and weekends as required to cover shifts.
• Have reliable transportation to bank visits as needed.
