Job summary

Sun Tan City is seeking an Assistant Salon Director to maintain a high-energy, positive environment and drive store performance. You will supervise Tanning Consultants, elevate client service, and uphold operational excellence to meet productivity goals.

Ideal candidates have retail management or sales experience, strong customer service, and leadership skills. This role offers growth opportunities and a rewarding team environment.

Qualifications

• College education preferred, but not required.
• Management and/or Sales experience preferred, but not required.
• Basic Computer skills (Word, Excel, Outlook).
• Ability to manage effectively in a fast-paced environment.
• Knowledge of client service techniques and operational practices.
• Problem-solving and organizational/planning skills.
• Strong leadership skills with coaching and mentoring abilities.
• Team building skills.
• Ability to prioritize and delegate.

Responsibilities

• Monitor and manage daily operations of the salon in a fast-pace environment.
• Lead by example in client-centric service and meet personal sales expectations.
• Maintain a professional and impeccably clean salon environment.
• Establish clear goals and objectives for Team Members.
• Provide coaching, training, and feedback to improve performance.
• Generate sales reports, maintain inventory, and assist with Salon Director functions.
• Assist the Salon Director in controlling top line revenue and expenses.
• Maintain proper staffing levels to ensure productivity and excellent customer service while controlling labor costs.
• Ability to work nights and weekends as required for coverage.
• Reliable transportation to bank as needed.
• Work five days per week, ~40–45 hours depending on status.
