At Midas, we are dedicated to providing quality services to customer vehicles in inspection, diagnosis, and repair, utilizing ASE Certifications and/or years of automotive repair experience.

We are looking for Automotive Service Assistant Managers to assist in managing all service department activities. This is an Assistant Store Manager developmental role, with a focus on training and internal promotion.

Responsibilities

• Manage and direct all automotive and service technicians in the shop.
• Ensure a safe, secure, and trustworthy work environment.
• Act as liaison between managers, customers, and employees.
• Fill in for Manager during absences, make decisions, hold meetings, and ensure accountability.
• Support ongoing learning and development of team members.
• Establish strategic goals, evaluate trends, and make decisions.
• Lead by example, manage, and train team aligned with company values.
• Ensure policies and procedures are followed.
• Deliver exceptional customer service and consult with customers.
• Oversee vehicle inspections, recommend repairs, and source parts.
• Discuss pricing estimates, promote shop specials and financing.
• Monitor vehicle quality and supervise up to 10 employees.
• Manage inventory levels and maintain a clean, organized work site.
• Perform other duties as assigned.

Qualifications

• At least 1 year of store or service assistant manager experience.
• General automotive knowledge.
• Excellent customer service and communication skills.
• Leadership and team-building abilities.
• Flexible schedule including weekends, evenings, and holidays.
• Valid driver’s license.
