Position: Assistant Sales Manager Coatings (India Operations)
Location: Work From Home (Candidates from Kolkata or North East India only)
Industry: Specialty Chemicals / Coatings
Experience: Minimum 5 years in front-end sales, preferably in the coatings industry under a distributor setup
Salary: No constraint for the right candidate

Role Overview:

We are seeking a highly driven, front-end sales professional to manage and expand our coatings raw material sales in East and North-East India. This is a remote position, but the candidate must be based in Kolkata or North East due to regional market responsibilities.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Drive front-line sales for coatings raw materials in the assigned region
  • Identify and develop new business opportunities with paint and ink customers in the region.
  • Maintain and grow relationships with existing customers
  • Provide technical and commercial support to customers in collaboration with internal teams
  • Collaborate with principals for product promotion, samples, and trials
  • Achieve and exceed sales targets with a clear focus on growth

Ideal Candidate Profile:

  • Minimum 5 years of experience in front-end sales in the coatings/raw material distribution industry
  • Based in Kolkata or North East India (mandatory)
  • Hands-on experience with resins, pigments, additives, solvents, or emulsions used in coatings
  • Strong sales acumen ability to pitch, close deals, and build long-term relationships
  • Self-motivated, entrepreneurial mindset with a sense of ownership
  • Willingness to travel locally for customer visits
  • Excellent communication and negotiation skills

Educational Qualification:

  • Bachelors degree in Chemistry or Chemical Engineering preferred, but not mandatory
  • What truly matters is your ability to sell and deep understanding of the coatings market
