Job summary

Community Housing Services is a Utah nonprofit hiring an Assistant Property Manager to support two family communities in St. George. This hands-on role requires attention to HUD requirements, tenant screening, and accurate recordkeeping, with opportunities to interact with residents and vendors.

You will be the manager's right hand, handle move-ins, certifications, reports, and occasional on-site visits. Schedule is Monday–Friday, 9:00 am–5:00 pm, pay $19–$22 per hour, full-time with benefits

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Three years as an Assistant Property Manager or in a similar affordable housing role.
• Customer service skills that hold up when things get complicated.
• Clear writing and speaking.
• Comfort with computers, reports, and recordkeeping.
• Care with confidential resident and applicant information.

Responsibilities

• Be the Property Manager's right hand, and step in to run the properties when they're away.
• Interview applicants for housing and help them through move-in, following HUD and CHS requirements.
• Prepare and verify HUD, RD, and tax credit certifications.
• Keep accounting forms and reports accurate and on time.
• Welcome residents, vendors, and visitors, and pitch in on work orders when needed.
