Job summary

Community Housing Services is seeking an Assistant Property Manager for Capitol Villa, a 108-unit senior housing community in Salt Lake City. You will assist the Property Manager, handle HUD/HAP paperwork, coordinate resident programs, and ensure accurate records.

The role emphasizes customer service, confidentiality, and computer-based reporting, with a 9:00–17:00, Monday–Friday schedule and pay ranging from $21.75 to $24.00 per hour.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Three years as an Assistant Property Manager or similar affordable housing role.
• Customer service skills that hold up when things get complicated.
• Clear writing and speaking.
• Comfort with computers, reports, and recordkeeping.
• Care with confidential resident and applicant information.

Responsibilities

• Be the Property Manager's right hand, and step in to run the property when they're away.
• Interview applicants for housing and help them through move-in, following HUD and CHS requirements.
• Prepare and verify HUD 50059 certifications and HAP requests.
• Keep accounting forms and reports accurate and on time.
• Help plan resident meetings, social activities, and community events.
• Organize resident volunteers and keep track of their hours.
• Welcome residents, vendors, and visitors, and pitch in on work orders when needed.
