Job Description

We are seeking a highly organized and customer-focused Assistant Property Manager to join our team in Illinois. This part-time position is suitable for someone with experience in property management or customer service looking to grow within the real estate industry.

Responsibilities

• Support the Property Manager in daily operations of residential and/or commercial properties
• Respond to tenant inquiries and provide excellent customer service
• Assist with leasing processes, including property showings, lease signings, and renewals
• Process rent payments, issue receipts, and follow up on outstanding accounts
• Prepare monthly reports on occupancy, maintenance, and collections
• Coordinate maintenance and repairs with vendors
• Maintain accurate physical and digital filing systems
• Perform general administrative tasks as assigned

Requirements

• High School diploma or equivalent (associate or bachelor’s degree in business or related field preferred)
• Previous experience in property management, leasing, administration, or customer service (preferred)
• Strong communication and organizational skills
• Basic computer proficiency (Microsoft Office, Google Workspace)
• Familiarity with property management software like AppFolio, Yardi, or Buildium is a plus
• Bilingual (English/Spanish) is a plus, but not required
• Availability to work on-site or travel to properties when needed
