Job summary

W.E. O’Neil in Irvine, CA is seeking an Assistant Project Superintendent to support the Senior Project Superintendent on field activities for a project valued between $1M and $10M. You will assist in scheduling, safety, and coordination across a multi-disciplinary team.

This role requires a four‑year degree in Construction Management, Engineering, Architecture, or related field, plus 3–5 years of field experience. MS Word/Excel/Outlook and scheduling software familiarity are essential.

Qualifications

• Four-year degree in Construction Management, Engineering, Architecture or related field.
• 3–5 years minimum of relevant project field experience as a Field Engineer or equivalent.
• Proficiency in basic computer skills (MS Word, Excel, Outlook).
• Familiarity with scheduling software such as Microsoft Project or P6 and other PM tools.

Responsibilities

• Assist Senior Project Superintendent and other supervisors on field activities.
• Develop and maintain eight-week look-ahead schedules.
• Coordinate material procurement and deliveries.
• Maintain safety programs and SWPPP documentation.
• Read and enforce subcontracts and related documents.
• Document daily field reports and changes.
