Job summary

Jacobs Solutions Inc. in Columbus, OH is seeking an Assistant Project Manager to support Power Delivery Programs, including planning, governance, scheduling, and reporting across transmission, distribution, and substation projects.

You will work closely with Project Managers, engineers, clients and contractors to drive project delivery, coordinate stakeholders, track action items, and help manage scope, schedule, budget and quality during the project lifecycle.

Qualifications

• 4-7 years of experience supporting utility, infrastructure, engineering, construction, or capital projects.
• Experience in regulated utility, consulting, engineering, or infrastructure environments.
• Strong understanding of project management fundamentals and lifecycle delivery.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Excel and Office applications.
• Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.

Responsibilities

• Project Planning & Execution Support: manage WBS and tasks for Transmission, Substation and Telecom projects.
• Assist with project setup, governance, scheduling and execution planning.
• Coordinate meetings, track actions, and support timely deliverables.
• Project Controls & Reporting: maintain docs, risk logs, and dashboards using Excel/Power BI.
• Risk, Change & Stakeholder Management: support change evaluations and maintain logs.
• Project Administration & Coordination: assist permitting, materials coordination, and governance documentation.
