Pontchartrain MEP is seeking an Assistant Project Manager to support planning, coordination, and execution of mechanical, HVAC, plumbing, electrical, and controls systems on commercial construction projects. You will work with Project Managers, field leadership, and external partners to ensure safety, schedule, and budget targets are met.

The role bridges field operations and office management through documentation, coordination, cost tracking, and communication across all project phases.

Competenze

• Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering, Construction Management, or related field.
• 1–3 years of experience in mechanical, HVAC, or construction project coordination.
• Familiarity with ductwork, piping, and controls systems installation and commissioning.
• Ability to read and interpret mechanical drawings, schedules, and specifications.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office including Excel, Word, and Outlook.
• Experience with construction management software such as Procore, ProjectSight, or Bluebeam preferred.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills.

Mansioni

• Assist the Project Manager in planning, scheduling, and coordinating PMEP system installations.
• Prepare and maintain project documentation including RFIs, submittals, change orders, meeting minutes, and closeout packages.
• Maintain organized electronic project files and ensure accurate document control within project management systems.
• Track material procurement, equipment lead times, and deliveries to support field progress.
• Support the development and maintenance of PMEP Workplans and project schedules.
• Coordinate with field leadership to manage labor, materials, and subcontractors.
• Assist in commissioning activities and turnover to clients.
• Support budgeting, cost tracking, and progress reporting.
