Job summary

Tri-State Energy, Inc. seeks an Assistant NJ Project Manager in New Brunswick, NJ to assist Senior PMs on commercial and industrial HVAC and lighting projects.

This onsite role requires proactive communication with clients, subcontractors, and internal teams to keep projects moving on schedule and within budget. You will help with coordination, data management, documentation, change orders, and scheduling, while ensuring safety compliance and quality across all sites.

Qualifications

• 1–3 years in project coordination or project management.
• Bachelor's degree or equivalent required.
• OSHA 10/30 preferred (or required within 90 days of hire).
• Strong written and verbal communication and client-relations skills.
• Ability to travel within the tri-state area for site visits.

Responsibilities

• Coordinate communication between the Senior Project Manager, clients, subcontractors, and internal teams.
• Enter and manage project data from sites into internal tools.
• Assist in gathering closeout documents for quick project closeouts.
• Support safety compliance and quality control on site inspections.
• Process purchase orders and assist with change orders and scope changes.
• Help develop and maintain detailed project schedules and milestones.
