Tri-State Energy (TSE) is seeking an Assistant New Jersey Project Manager for on-site guidance in commercial and industrial HVAC and lighting projects in New Brunswick. You will support Senior Project Managers, coordinate with clients, subcontractors, and internal teams, and help manage documentation, scheduling, and compliance to meet project objectives.

Ideal candidates have 1–3 years of project coordination or management, strong communication, and a solid foundation in HVAC and energy

Qualifications

• 1–3 years in project coordination or management.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
• Self-starter with ability to work independently or in a team.
• Strong organisational and planning abilities.
• Proven ability to work with cross-functional teams.
• Interest in energy conservation and engineering is a plus.
• Understanding of job safety requirements; OSHA 10/30 preferred.
• Read/interpret HVAC, lighting, or electrical drawings a plus.
• Must be able to travel within the tri-state area.

Responsabilités

• Coordinate communication between Senior PM, clients, subcontractors and internal teams.
• Enter and manage mechanical and lighting data in programme software and internal tools.
• Support project documentation and closeout processes.
• Ensure safety compliance and quality control on site visits.
• Issue POs and assist with change orders and scope management.
• Maintain detailed project timelines and milestones.
• Troubleshoot issues and escalate to Senior PM as needed.
• Assist in researching and onboarding new contractors.
• Track incentive applications and relevant programme requirements.
• Maintain accurate programme data in tracking systems.
