Job summary

M. J. Electric, LLC, a Quanta Services company, is seeking an Assistant Project Manager who thrives in a quality-driven construction environment. You will support the Project Manager in safety, planning, scheduling, cost reporting, and budgeting, while helping manage proposals, cost codes and subcontractors.

The position requires collaboration with customers and field teams, regular travel to project sites, and timely billing and reporting to ensure project success and client satisfaction.

Qualifications

• Ability to work independently and meet deadlines.
• Experience in construction or project coordination is a plus.
• Wamiliarity with safety, scheduling, budgeting, and reporting preferred.

Responsibilities

• Assist with development of systems and processes for cost reporting, scheduling, and budgeting.
• Track performance metrics to improve productivity and reduce costs.
• Prepare proposals and estimates, including take-offs.
• Set up job structure with safety, scheduling, document control plans and cost codes.
• Support hand-off from estimating to field supervision.
• Coordinate material orders and submittals with Purchasing.
• Travel to projects regularly.
• Provide weekly progress updates to the Project Manager.
• Assist with change orders, RFI handling, and monthly forecast reports.
• Collaborate with customers and field management to maintain schedule.
