Job summary

Monteith Construction, a commercial contractor in the Carolinas, seeks an Assistant Project Manager to support the Project Manager in coordinating documentation, monthly billings, meetings, and client communications on multiple projects in North Carolina.

You will work with Viewpoint/Dexter Chaney and Procore, lead on-site collaboration, manage change orders and permits, and help drive project closeout with a team that values accountability and collaboration.

Qualifications

• 3–5 years in commercial construction.
• Experience with Viewpoint/Dexter Chaney and Procore preferred.
• Strong communication skills.
• Desire to work in a team environment.

Responsibilities

• Transmit and organize project documents, plans, specs, RFIs, and revisions.
• Assist the superintendent and project manager with tracking inspections.
• Submit monthly pay applications to support positive cash flow.
• Manage monthly cost projections for 4–6 SPOTLIGHT projects.
• Support change order management with the Project Manager.
• Facilitate weekly/monthly OAC meeting agendas and correspondence.
• Apply for local and state permits.
• Lead the project closeout process.
