Job summary

Monteith Construction Corp. in the Carolinas is seeking an Assistant Project Manager to collaborate with the Project Manager across the construction lifecycle.

You will organize documents, track progress, and ensure accurate monthly billings while coordinating with clients, design partners, and trade partners. Candidates should have 3–5 years in commercial construction and experience with Viewpoint/Dexter Chaney, Procore, and strong communication.

Qualifications

• 3-5 years in commercial construction.
• Strong communication skills.
• Desire to work in a team environment.

Responsibilities

• Enter and organize project documentation including plans, specifications, RFIs, and document revisions.
• Assist the superintendent and project manager with tracking inspections.
• Initiate and submit monthly pay applications to ensure positive cash flow on projects.
• Manage and report the monthly cost projection for up to 4-6 SPOTLIGHT projects.
• Work with the Project Manager for change order management.
• Facilitate the weekly or monthly OAC meeting agendas and manage any necessary correspondence.
• Apply for local and state permits.
• Lead the project closeout process.
