Job summary

LJA Land Development seeks an Assistant Project Manager to help conceptualize the initial design approach for major phases of large projects and potentially oversee engineering work on smaller scopes. Office, field, and behind-the-scenes work offer a broad exposure to clients and services.

The role requires a BS in Civil Engineering, a Professional Engineer license, and at least 5 years post-graduate experience along with strong communication and relationship-building skills.

Qualifications

• Strong communication skills are required.
• Ability to build strong relationships with internal and external stakeholders.
• Proven ability to coordinate engineers and supporting staff on projects.

Responsibilities

• Plans, schedules, conducts, or coordinates engineering work on projects.
• Supervision of less experienced engineers or technical staff as needed.
• Exercises judgment in selecting and adapting standard engineering techniques.
• Makes basic decisions when information is incomplete.
• Coordinates with internal clients to obtain needed information.
