Job summary

Jobot in the Chicago suburbs is seeking an Assistant Project Manager to join our team in Lake Zurich, IL. This is a permanent, on-site role with a salary range of $75,000 to $90,000 per year, offering exposure to multiple market sectors and collaboration with Owners, Architects, and Developers.

The ideal candidate has at least 3 years in general contracting, a Bachelor's in Construction Management or Engineering, and proficiency in MS Office, AutoCAD, and project management software.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Construction Management, Engineering, or related field.
• Minimum of 3 years of experience in a similar role within a general contracting environment.
• Proficient in project management software, MS Office, and AutoCAD.
• Strong understanding of construction methods, materials, and regulations.

Responsibilities

• Assist the Project Manager in all phases of project management including design, construction, occupancy, quality control, staffing, and budget management.
• Coordinate with architects, subcontractors, and construction teams to ensure project objectives are met.
• Assist in the preparation and review of project proposals, schedules, budgets, and project status reports.
• Ensure all work is carried out in accordance with project specifications, regulations, and quality standards.
• Attend and participate in project meetings, providing updates on progress, potential risks, and proposed solutions.
• Assist in the resolution of any issues that may arise during the construction process.
• Work closely with the Project Manager to ensure all contractual obligations are met and client expectations are exceeded.
• Maintain accurate and up-to-date project documentation, including plans, contracts, change orders, and correspondence.
• Promote and uphold a culture of safety at all times.
