Job summary

AMA Support Services in Pittsburgh, PA is seeking an Assistant Program Manager to help oversee multiple homes and services, promoting excellence, compassion and integrity in service delivery.

The role reports to the Program Manager and focuses on supervising staff, ensuring regulatory compliance, coordinating medical appointments, and developing training to elevate the quality of care for individuals supported by the program.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree plus management experience and exposure to IDD settings.

Responsibilities

  • Oversee health, safety, welfare and personal development of those supported.
  • Ensure high quality of services per ISP.
  • Supervise day-to-day activities of program employees.
  • Develop and deliver training programs for staff.
  • Onboard new employees with thorough onboarding and training.
  • Coordinate medical appointments and follow-ups for individuals served.
  • Develop weekly CPS schedules with the CPS Coordinator.
  • Promote safety and incident response per regulations.
  • Assist with timekeeping and align schedules with timecards.
  • Create a structured, nurturing home environment for individuals served.
  • Build positive relationships with families, oversight entities, and communities.
