Job summary

Lifeworks, Inc. is hiring a full-time Assistant Program Manager to support adults with developmental and intellectual disabilities in a residential program.

The role emphasizes advocacy, empowerment, and opportunity, with a focus on safety, personal care, and ISP goal attainment. The ideal candidate will have experience with ID/DD, a bachelor’s degree or related experience, valid driver's license, and strong communication skills.

Qualifications

• Experience working with Individuals with ID/DD.
• Bachelor's degree from four-year college or university; related experience preferred.
• Must be able to pass fingerprint background check, CORI, DPPC and Driving background checks.
• Valid Driver's License required.
• Valid MAP certification is preferred.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Assist with hands-on direct care including showering, toileting, shaving, brushing teeth, and meal-time assistance.
• Ensure health and safety of individuals, including personal care.
• Provide education, training, counseling, and physical assistance to achieve ISP goals in academics, domestic skills, health, hygiene, social and leisure skills, communication, mobility, self-esteem, and money management.
• Communicate with family, guardians, advocates, volunteers, and employers to coordinate programming.
• Develop, write, and present ISP goals and semiannual agreements with residential staff and leadership.
• Provide transportation to individuals as necessary.
• Schedule and supervise staff.
