Assistant Professor in Human Resource Management / Organizational Behavior

The Narendra Paul Loomba Department of Management at the Zicklin School of Business is pleased to invite applications for a tenure‑track Assistant Professor in Human Resource Management / Organizational Behavior, commencing in August 2027, subject to final budget approval.

Responsibilities
  • Conduct rigorous scholarly research, produce and publish papers in top‑tier outlets such as the UTD24 and FT50 lists, and maintain a sustainable research agenda.
  • Teach Human Resource Management or Organizational Behavior courses at undergraduate and graduate levels in multiple modalities (in‑person, online, hybrid).
  • Collaborate with the Zicklin School’s programs and global partners to enrich curriculum and learning experiences.
  • Mentor and advise students, with a particular emphasis on supporting first‑generation and diverse learners.
  • Fulfill broader faculty responsibilities in service, outreach, and professional development appropriate to a faculty member at the Zicklin School of Business.
Qualifications
  • PhD (or ABD) in Human Resource Management, Organizational Behavior, Industrial‑Organizational Psychology, or a closely related field.
  • Established record of peer‑reviewed scholarship and demonstrated ability to sustain a high‑impact research agenda.
  • Proven teaching experience in Human Resource Management or Organizational Behavior at both undergraduate and graduate levels.
  • Familiarity with teaching in person, online, or hybrid formats and a willingness to contribute to Zicklin programs on campus and abroad.
  • Commitment to student mentorship and advisement, particularly for first‑generation and underrepresented students.
Compensation

$169,000 – $184,700, commensurate with qualifications and experience. CUNY offers a comprehensive benefits package including health insurance, pension and retirement benefits, paid parental leave, and savings programs.
