The candidate should be board-certified or eligible in Anatomic and/or Clinical Pathology with Hematopathology credentials, and licensed to practice in Florida.

Qualifications

• MD/DO must be board certified or eligible in Anatomic Pathology, Clinical Pathology, or both with Hematopathology eligibility.
• Must be licensed to practice medicine in the State of Florida.
• Strong general knowledge in Hematopathology.
• Experience with quality-improvement methods to enhance work processes.
• Commitment to teaching residents, fellows, medical students and participating in research.

Responsibilities

• Provide patient care services at UMH, JMH and satellites with microscopic hematologic examinations.
• Provide 24-hour call coverage as assigned.
• Contribute to service productivity per the departmental compensation plan.
• Participate in educational activities of pathology residents, fellows and medical students.
• Engage in collaborative research and seek grant funding opportunities.
• Participate in daily quality assurance and hospital committees and working groups.
• Maintain accreditation standards per JCAHO/CAP/CLIA.
