Your Role

Assistant Production Supervisor

Work Location: 16800 W Glendale Ave, Litchfield Park, AZ 85340

Work Schedule: Monday to Friday, possible daily and weekend overtime depending on customer needs.

Role Overview:

The Assistant Production Supervisor plays a critical role in the production process by aiding the Production Supervisor in managing daily operations. This includes supervising the team, ensuring adherence to safety standards, and optimizing productivity.

What You’ll Be Doing

Essential Functions:

• Assist in scheduling daily workflow for both employees and materials, ensure there is a sustainable workflow and clear expectations for shift.
• Assist in supervising all production activities performed by employees; maintains a high degree of visibility and access to employees throughout the shift.
• Communicate any staffing needs to Production Supervisor to ensure we meet peak demands of the business and staff team accordingly; trains, motivates, and coaches employees with guidance from Production Supervisor; involves Human Resources, when necessary.
• Assists in establishing and maintaining department standards for productivity, quality, reliability, on-time delivery, and accuracy.
• Collaborates with other departments to ensure seamless operations.
  
  

Marginal Functions:

• Assists Production Supervisor with development and implementation of policies and procedures; ensures all employees follow established policies and procedures.
• Resolves production-related issues with Production Supervisor, Customer Service and Operations Manager
• Maintains a working knowledge of all operating systems pertaining to the work area.
• Maintains safety programs and all required safety training for employees.
• Performs other duties as assigned by Production Supervisor
  
  

Education/Knowledge/Skill Requirements:

Required

• 2 to 4 years of manufacturing experience in the crating or packing industries, warehousing, or similar industry equivalent
• High School Diploma or GED Equivalent
• Bilingual in English and Spanish
• Demonstrated proficiency in supervising and motivating direct reports, including corrective action and training processes
• Ability to communicate orally and written in a professional manner in English and Spanish
• Proven proficiency in MS Office Suite and ability to learn new software (Sage, Ops Center, Crate Maker)
• Strong Analytical skills and attention to detail
• Self-motivated with a commitment to excellence
• Versatility, flexibility, and a willingness to work within constantly changing priorities with enthusiasm
• Ability to understand safety requirements and promote a safety culture
• Must be willing to work evenings and weekends
• Possess a reliable form of transportation.
