Job summary

Clayton Home Building Group is seeking a Department Manager/Area Coordinator to direct daily activities and resources across production departments. You will enforce safety standards, coach staff, and oversee onboarding and development within a fast-paced manufacturing setting.

The role requires strong planning, organizational and communication skills, with a readiness to adapt to changing priorities while ensuring quality and on-time production of homes.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED or equivalent experience required.
• Strong planning and organizational abilities with attention to detail.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills at all levels.
• Ability to multi-task and adapt in a fast-paced manufacturing environment.
• Experience reading home building specifications is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Direct daily activities and resources of all assigned production departments.
• Enforce Clayton’s safety culture and audit program adherence.
• Onboard and develop new hires, track progress, and provide feedback.
• Coach and counsel team members; apply progressive discipline as needed.
• Read orders, ensure correct sign-offs, and maintain quality standards.
