Job summary

Price Rite Bethlehem is seeking an Assistant Produce Manager to lead the produce department, maximize sales, protect assets and maintain store presentation. The role reports to the Produce Manager and Store Manager, oversees staff, and ensures safety standards while controlling losses.

The position requires an Associate's degree or equivalent experience, strong reading, writing and communication skills, and the ability to lift and work in a fast-paced retail setting.

Qualifications

• Associate's degree or 1–2 years related experience.
• Ability to read and interpret safety rules and procedures.
• Ability to write routine reports and speak before groups.
• Ability to calculate discounts, percentages, and proportions.
• Ability to apply basic algebra and geometry.
• Ability to stand for long periods and perform physical tasks.

Responsibilities

• Manages 10-15 subordinates, training and directing work.
• Maintains store conditions to improve profitability.
• Maximizes department sales and profits.
• Develops a team concept to improve morale and conditions.
• Ensures proper merchandising and loss control.
• Ensures inventory goals and proper ordering.
