Applegreen USA Welcome Centers Central Services seeks an Assistant Plaza Director at the Biden Welcome Center. You will assist the Plaza Director in managing day-to-day operations of a multi-million-dollar travel plaza along a major highway, leading a team to deliver fast, friendly service and exceed financial targets.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED equivalent.
• 3+ years of proven success in restaurant or retail leadership.
• Available to work a flexible on-site schedule ~50 hours per week including days, nights, weekends, and holidays.
• Maintain regular attendance and punctuality.
• Able to stand and walk for extended periods; lift at least 20 pounds; travel occasionally.

Responsibilities

• Assume full responsibility for the travel plaza in the absence of the Plaza Director.
• Lead day-to-day activities to meet sales, speed of service, customer satisfaction, and brand standards.
• Monitor progress toward financial and performance objectives and support strategic changes.
• Ensure each food/beverage concept adheres to brand standards.
• Foster an engaging, learning-focused culture and accountability.
• Recruit, develop and retain strong teams across the plaza.
• Support supervision of plaza leadership and their goals.
• Ensure compliance with company policies and laws.
• Handle customer inquiries and complaints in a professional manner.
• Collaborate with Brand Partners, HR, Loss Prevention, Finance, and Facilities & Maintenance.
